At present 26 teams represent individual companies in the League (maximum number we can accommodate is 32 teams). Each company has a team of four players at every game. Our season runs from September thru to June. The League is played over six games. All four of your team scores on an individual medal stableford basis are added together and at the end of the season (six games) the team with the highest score wins the League. There are prizes for the top 3 teams (these will be given at AGM).

League Games
Two of your team will play against two of the opposition and the player with the lowest score will have to hand the cards with a fine of R10 into the scorers and collect and distribute 2 clubs, should there be a draw you both have to pay R10. In the event of scores being tied after 18 holes (see note) the following count-out system will apply: a) The three best scores in each team to count. c) The two best scores in each team to count. d) The best individual score in each team to count. e) The combined scores of the pair teeing off first. At each league game we have prizes for the first four teams (all players scores added together) as well as best individual score. Closest to the pins on short holes, and two clubs sponsored by companies participating in the League. Lucky draw for your whole team being at prize giving.

Best Individual
At each League game there is a sponsored prize for the best individual score. You have to have played at least one league game in the last two seasons to qualify and if there is a count out it is done on lowest handicapped player winning.

Knock Out Competition adds extra interest in the league. Before the first game of each season the committee does a draw to see whom you play against. The teams that lose their first game play for the AECI plate and winners play for the Wilf Toy Trophy. (Competition rules attached) The 7 th game is when all four of your team members play together and each team contribute 4 prizes/corporate gifts so that everyone gets a prize.

AGM
Our AGM is held in July to elect a new Vice Captain and attend to prize giving. Prizes are handed out to:- League Winners and top 4 teams. The Bobby Moore Trophy for the best individual total score over 6 games during the season. Extra games which you may want to participate in :- An Inter City Game is played against Pietermaritzburg (May), this is played alternately in Pmbg and a Coastal course. This game is usually open to 40 players on a first come basis. Although being one of our fixtures it is not a have to play game but we would like you to. We also have a Wild Coast Bash (July) once a year, which is organised by one of our past league captains.
